Seasons of Music | 2020 So Far

Every few months I put together a new playlist to represent a new season of my life. And, as you can imagine 2020 has been quite the year of change.

Originally, I was going to create a new playlist every three months to correspond with the changing of the seasons; however since I have more time on my hands than expected, I’ve driven each song into the ground. So, as I commence with my 4th playlist of the year, please enjoy what I’ve been listening to so far in 2020.

Season 1

The songs that kicked off the year, entertained me during my daily commute, and joined me on my trek to Keswick. This is the season I was introduced to music by Harry Styles, Camila Cabello, and Hayley William’s brand new album Petals for Armour.

Season 2

During this time I was blessed by Jojo’s comeback, Mxmtoon’s album Dawn, and a bunch of male musician that created all the vibes I craved (shout out to AWOLNATION, Twenty One Pilots, and Charlie Cunningham). These musicians de-stressed me at the begging of Coronavirus season and filled my furlough with dance worthy tunes.

Season 3

The most recent playlist, Season 3 is a collection of bops, sprinkled with some acoustic gems. It’s a true mixed bag of genres from artists that have appeared on previous playlists, joined by new discoveries and collaborations. Once again, AWOLNATION shine, followed by half alive, The Pussycat Dolls, and Sabrina Carpenter.

I highly recommend checking out the artists featured on these playlists, along side some of my favourite 2019 artists, Tessa Violet and Anna Akana.
